Happy Thanksgiving & Holiday Season

This 30th year of law practice has been a time of reflection for me. My heart has been full with the memories of all those who have been a part of this journey and made it the bountiful blessing that it has been. Every day I arise with an attitude of gratitude for each and every one of you that I truly believe God has placed in my path.

As Melody Beattie stated, "gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow." The many blessings brought forth by these encounters with all of you are truly cherished.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!  for the past 30 years and I look forward with anticipation and the hope that the years to come bring many more of these blessed moments.

My wish for you during this time of Thanksgiving is that you "remember God's bounty in the year. String the pearls of His favor. Hide the dark parts, except so far as they are breaking out in light! Give this one day to thanks, to joy, to gratitude!" Henry Ward Beecher.

"On Thanksgiving day we acknowledge our dependence on others" William Jennings Bryan.

May you have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday in the embrace and warmth of your loved ones, may you reflect upon the many blessings in your life and on what you have, not what you don't have, and may you fill yourself with all the bountiful gifts that the day has to offer.

“People Helping People”…The Volunteer Way
Food Bank & Food Pantry

Each month, more than 23,000 families are helped by The Volunteer Way.
They provide food to food pantries, soup kitchens, hospices, mentally challenged residential programs, women’s shelters, homeless shelters and other charitable organizations.

They also provide back to school supplies, clothing, first aid kits, blankets, personal items and other necessities. The Volunteer Way donates all these commodities FREE of any FEES to these charitable organizations to help them assist many more children, the working poor, the elderly and the homeless.

The Volunteer Way has approximately 200 volunteers who help accomplish their goals. They come from different denominations and faiths and from the different communities that they serve. They donate their time to help the homeless and low income families in the community. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed volunteers, like those at The Volunteer Way, can change the world and put the spirit of hope back into our children, single parents and seniors, so that they can become productive citizens in their communities.
