Happy October – As always, I hope this finds you well. Curiosity again takes us on the path of…the path.
A definition of the term path is “a way of life, conduct, or thought” (Merriam – Webster)
Knowing and keeping on the right path is important for any of us, no matter what we are trying to achieve or do. We all know what happens when we get off the right path.
Most times, the path to what we want to achieve or do is narrow. It consists of the right choices that we make over and over. This means choosing the thing that makes you stronger, smarter, better, more disciplined, provides better leadership, etc. The path is the opposite of the slippery slope which, when we compromise staying on the path, takes us off the “right path.”
The good news is that most paths are at least somewhat “footworn”, if not “graveled” or even “concreted.” We do not need to hack our way through the jungle to create the path (although it is good to trailblaze and discover better ways to make it to the end.) By observing and identifying those people, practices, processes, etc. that are proven to work, we can take a path that is known, improve on it, and make the path easier, better, etc.
KEA has created educational paths that are proven to deliver better performance for a position, department, dealership, etc. We have introduced the KEA U service workshops which will lead the participant from an introductory course in service management to advance courses dealing with capacity and workflow, pricing, and labor inventory management. These courses are specific to DMS providers (CDK, KARMAK FUSION and PROCEDE EXCEDE.) In addition to the service path, we will be offering a similar path of courses for parts management and, in 2021, for accounting and variable operations. To see all available workshops, follow this link: https://www.keaadvisors.com/events
These courses are not only operational and DMS knowledge courses. They involve the participant in building leadership skills as well. The skills and basic path for improved performance is identified and presented (education), but it takes a leader to successfully get from here to there (execution.)
Thank you again for reading my blog. There are a lot of things you could choose to read. From all of us at KEA Advisors – good luck, stay well and be curious. Life is wonderful.
