Countdown to Re-Accreditation!

College campuses are always bustling with activity this time of year, but February will be a particularly active time on Coppin State's campus.

This month, we welcome the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Re- Accreditation Evaluation Team, chaired by Dr. Carl S. Person, to our campus. We are all equally invested in the positive trajectory of preparing Coppin State students to compete in a global marketplace.

Coppin State Students Impress at American Marketing Association (AMA) Conference

A group of Coppin State students entered a blind marketing competition and took 2 nd place, beating out other schools including MICA, Virginia Tech, and Johns Hopkins.

Participants were given a one-page case and rubric, one week in advance, surrounding the conference's theme: “Analytics and Consumer Engagement." Our students (l-r), Shamia Campbell, Kyra Simmons, Samierra Jones, and Devin Ozuna, have already been invited to participate in next year’s conference as well as other AMA events. The competition was hosted by the Johns Hopkins chapter of AMA. Congratulations to our students on their success!   
Coppin State Announces Partnership with Penn State in Nanotechnology
Coppin State's Center for Nanotechnology has become a member of the Nanotechnology Professional Development Partnership (NPDP) Project at The Pennsylvania State University.

The project's overall purpose is to advance the use and knowledge of nanotechnology through programs that equip and train students and educators. STEM students at Coppin State will become even better prepared to fill the numerous nanotechnology jobs available by 2020.

The NPDP project is hosted by Penn State's Center for Nanotechnology Education and Utilization (CNEU). To read more about the partnership, visit our website HERE.
President Barack Obama
Bust Unveiling 

On Monday, February 19, 2018, Coppin State University will hold a ceremony in the Parlett L. Moore Library to unveil a bust of President Barack Obama . Doors open at 10:00 a.m.

This event is a part of the University's African American History Month programming in recognition of the numerous contributions and accomplishment made by African Americans.

2018 Homecoming

Coppin State University will celebrate its annual Homecoming with a week-long schedule of events from February 12 - 18 . There will be something for everyone, and more information is available at Homecoming 2018.

We are also excited to host our annual spring Open House on February 17 . Students interested in attending Coppin State should register now for a day filled with events and activities designed to showcase the best the University has to offer.

Parents and families are encouraged to attend and learn more about Coppin State. The Office of Admissions will provide on-site admission, and the Office of Financial Aid will offer individual on-site consultations.

Student Highlight 

I would like to congratulate our Women's and Men's basketball teams on their wins against cross-town rival, Morgan State.

Both teams played a hard-fought game and we look forward to a re-match on February 26th.
