This week, I'm visiting our nation's capital alongside Westside Club teen, William, and his aunt, LaFae Bacon, to take part in Boys & Girls Clubs of America's National Days of Advocacy. Since our arrival, we've met with and heard from so many leaders from across the country.

One proud moment in particular took place yesterday evening when our own Congressman Brian Mast was awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Champion of Youth Award recognizing distinguished leadership and extraordinary commitment to our shared goal of encouraging America’s youth to reach their full potential.

It was an honor to be a part of that moment and have Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County's Workforce Readiness program mentioned by name.

The rest of our time here will be spent advocating alongside Boys & Girls Clubs of America for resources and support to continue creating #GreatFutures.
