Did you know that it took us months to find just the right person for our new position of Stewardship Director? Because the MJ Murdock foundation gave us a grant to help fund this position, we took our time and combed through many candidates before we met Martin Beck. He sat through a number of interviews, and in the end, we all felt confident that God brought us our next staff member.

I couldn't be more pleased. He's already working hard on behalf of all of you and our friends in Kenya. I can't wait for you to meet him! Please read the letter below from Marty, introducing himself to you all.

Dear Expansion International Community,

It's an incredible honor to join such an amazing organization as the new Stewardship Director. I am excited to work alongside so many people who are dedicated to making a positive transformational impact in Kenya.

For 25 years, I have been deeply involved in the nonprofit sector, specifically working with youth, young adults, and families in residential summer camp organizations. My passion for leadership and community development, as well as fundraising and development to support those initiatives, has been a driving force throughout my career. I have had the privilege of serving on several nonprofit boards and committees. I received the Frank M "Scotty" Washburn Award for Outstanding Service from the American Camp Association. 

What drew me to Expansion International is not only its incredible mission but also its commitment to empowering communities and transforming lives in Kenya. The impact of Expansion International's work is tangible, and I am inspired by the dedication of everyone involved in making it possible. I am eager to contribute my skills and expertise to support the organization's mission and expand its reach.

As the Stewardship Director, I am particularly excited about the opportunity to engage with our supporters and partners, nurturing relationships essential to sustaining and growing our impact. I believe that strong stewardship is the foundation of any successful nonprofit, and I am committed to ensuring that our supporters feel valued, informed, and connected to the meaningful work we do.

In the coming weeks and months, I will contact many of you to introduce myself personally and learn more about your involvement with Expansion International. Your insights, perspectives, and support are invaluable, and I am eager to work together to foster transformation through the love of Jesus.
