From the Chair

Thank You to all who helped keep Fluvanna a Republican majority county in the Referendum election. Although the Party did not prevail across the state, we delivered Fluvanna. Now the work begins to have an even better Republican turnout for the House and Senate races in November. Aside from motivating better turnout in the three precincts that voted Republican, we need to work on the two precincts that went to the “Yes” side on the Referendum, Palmyra and Rivanna.

Special thanks to those who worked so hard to plant road signs (Dewey Haines) and yard signs (Fritz Deitz).

Another big thank you to Katy Kelly and Rich Perfidio who took charge of the effort to write and send 500 postcards to potential Republican voters, with the help of more than a dozen selfless volunteers. Thank you to Lauren Davis at Hometown Grill who gave us the space to meet.

To the many who represented the GOP as Election Officers, Poll Watchers, and Poll Greeters we say “Thank you” for your long hours and diligence on Election Day, especially our precinct captains: Jamie Baughn, Charles Rittenhouse, and Paul Bethke who setup tents and signs at their precinct polling places.

I hope that these and many more volunteers will step up in the months ahead to help build our county and our conservative community.

Fritz Dietz, The SIGN CZAR

Fritz has been planting hundreds of annual election yard signs for many years. He developed a loyal customer base that continues to grow, especially at the Lake. Fritz is always on the lookout for new locations and doesn't hesitate to knock on doors to persuade voters to get involved.

Thanks, Fritz!
