From the Triangle to the Triad, our commitment to expanding access to affordable housing is reaching more communities than ever. This month, we’re celebrating milestones across three regions: Greensboro, Durham, and Raleigh.

We’re honored to have been recommended by the City of Greensboro Review Committee as the lead developer for the former Regency Inn site - a transformative opportunity to create 114 new affordable homes for seniors and families. With units serving households at 30%, 50%, and 60% of area median income, this project marks a meaningful step forward in bringing the City’s Housing GSO plan to life.

In Durham, Ashton Place is now fully occupied - 51 modern, affordable homes for seniors, made possible by strong community collaboration. To celebrate, we joined our co-development partners Self-Help Credit Union and hosted a Welcome Home ribbon-cutting earlier this month!

And in Raleigh, the final phase of Washington Terrace is taking shape. Fisher Grove will bring 166 affordable homes and medical office space to East College Park, continuing our shared vision for a vibrant, inclusive community.

We have also recently been selected as a 2025 Zillow for Good (Z4G) Housing Innovation Grant recipient! For the third consecutive year, Zillow has celebrated National Fair Housing Month by empowering employees to nominate qualifying organizations that are making lasting local impact through housing-related programs, for this unique grant opportunity. New Insights to Support Families

The Village at Washington Terrace is one of six communities selected to be a part of The Strong Families Fund (SFF), a pay-for-performance project led by the Corporation for Supportive Housing designed to promote resident service coordination. Through our participation we provide individualized service plans, community-based programming, and partnerships that address health, education, and financial well-being.

The mid-project report of the SFF initiative revealed several key findings:

The creation of the Strong Families Fund was led by The Kresge Foundation in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Corporation for Supportive Housing, KeyBank, Goldman Sachs, National Affordable Housing Trust, and Cinnaire, Inc. Click to read the full mid-project report.
