At St. Tammany Health System, we often hear from grateful patients or their family members who feel moved to express their thanks for the compassionate and professional brand of care that has set St. Tammany Health System apart for so long.
Today, we feel compelled to turn the tables and offer our thanks to you.
Recently, The Times-Picayune, NOLA.com and The St. Tammany Farmer announced the results of their first-ever Best of St. Tammany readers poll. We were thrilled to learn we received a staggering 18 awards, including taking home the gold for Best Hospital, Best Cancer Treatment Center, Best Place to Have a Baby and Best Place to Work.
Needless to say, everyone here at the health system is humbled and grateful for each of those recognitions as well as for every one of you who voted for us.
We earn a lot of awards here at STHS, and we are thankful for all of them. After all, we work hard to be the best. That said, none can come close to giving us the kind of satisfaction we get from such an overwhelming vote of confidence from you, our patients and Northshore neighbors.
As we grow with our community, it can be a challenge to maintain our trademark hometown feel. But here’s our little secret to achieving that: No matter how big we get, no matter how many facilities we build and capabilities we add, we always, always, always do it with our patients in mind.
After all, we were willed into existence 70 years ago by determined local residents with one overarching mission: to serve the community. All these years later, that has not changed – and we are committed to making sure it never does.
So, again, thank you for your vote – 18 times, thank you – and thank you for choosing St. Tammany Health System for your family’s healthcare needs.
We hope you enjoy the following headlines from our STHS newsroom, and we hope you have a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend.
