Dear O'Hara Community,
I am extremely excited and honored to introduce myself as the new Director of Advancement here at O'Hara Catholic School. This is not just another job for me - as a parent at O'Hara for the last 8 years and a SAC member for the last 4 years, this feels like a natural next step. I look forward to doing my part to help our students continue our proud, 128-year tradition of "Enter to learn. Go forth to serve."
I come to O'Hara with a background in fundraising, donor relations, sales, and marketing. My development experience comes from a number of years as the Development Director at the Relief Nursery, a local child abuse prevention agency. Over the last 10+ years I have worked in sales and marketing, most recently at Moss Adams. I spent my time coordinating the regional marketing efforts across Oregon and Washington markets. I am excited to bring my experiences to the O'Hara community.
When I am not working, you can find my husband and me on the sidelines of the soccer field watching our daughter, Paige, a 7th grader at O'Hara. As a family we are avid travelers, enjoying the experiences and cultures we find across the world.
The Advancement Office supports both the fundraising efforts of the
itself and the
Open Door Foundation
. Together, as a school and foundation, our goal is to provide the best Catholic education possible for our children and secure a vibrant future for our school which includes ensuring our building, teachers and staff are fully supported. I look forward to working with all of our parents, volunteers and community members through all of our fundraising opportunities.
In my first few days in the office, I am truly inspired by the level of support provided by our parents. In the upcoming days you will receive a request in the mail for our
Archbishop O'Hara Annual Fund
. In 2015, we established the Archbishop O'Hara Annual Fund dedicated to supporting the three areas we feel are a continued priority for the success of our students and our school: tuition support, technology and building safety.
As we see the end of year coming close and you begin your year-end tax planning, we invite you to consider a gift to the Annual Fund. We hope to have 100% family participation, no matter the gift size, allowing us to continue to fulfill the mission of O'Hara Catholic School.
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.
