Happy Finals Week! This will be a high intensity week for all of our students as they complete the fall 2019 semester and prepare for a break from studies and time with family and friends. It has been an incredible start to our Centennial celebration year, and we still have several months of special events to go, culminating with our 100th Commencement ceremony on May 22, 2020. We are delighted to have Eloy Ortiz Oakley, Chancellor of the California Community College system confirmed as our keynote speaker this year for graduation.
But before we jump ahead to the end of the spring semester, this is my last First Friday column of the calendar year, and the last of the decade! So it is fitting to look back on some of the highlights in the college’s history over the past ten years, knowing that each year always culminates in the success of our students and the support of the communities we serve. Happy Holidays everyone, see you in 2020!
