What a week it has been!
As we continue our journey through this Advent season, I hope that you taking time and finding ways to celebrate and prepare for the coming of our Lord!

It is difficult to believe that we have snuck up on having just over a week of school left before the break. Certainly with the excitement of the days and the anticipation of Christmas, we are grateful for your continued diligence in monitoring the health of your children and being conservative in your choices as to students being sent into school. With regard to that, please see the note from Mrs. Wild below with regard to the health screening questionnaires that are required each day.

We've had some fun over the past week - from celebrating St. Nicholas Day, to Santa arriving on campus, to enjoying our annual Christmas-themed dress down day - there is much happening. As a faculty and staff, we are grateful for all of your support with these activities.

Next week the students will perform their Christmas programs. As mentioned last week, these will not be live performances to the parents due to the COVID restrictions we are expected to follow. Once the taping of the in-school performances are done, we will provide parents with links. Hopefully this will make for a wonderful family "viewing party" one night!

Please be sure that you have seen the instructions from Mr. Toussaint with regard to costume pieces.

As we stand out in the rather cold temperatures each morning, I am reminded to ask once again that you be sure that your children have appropriate coats for being outside throughout the day. Thank you for your support with that.

Below you will find the tuition information for the 2021/2022. A reminder that all families will be charged the non-refundable re-registration fee with your January tuition unless we have received an Intent Not to Return form by December 18, 2020.

We certainly are prayerful that we will have everyone returning for the coming year and are grateful for your continued trust in partnering with us for your child's academic journey.

A few reminders:

Friday, December 18th will be an early dismissal day with NO Extended Day.

Our Christmas break begins the afternoon of December 18 and goes through Sunday, January 3rd. We will return to school on Monday, January 4th.

The non-refundable re-registration fee for the 2021/2022 academic year will be drawn with the January tuition draws via your FACTS accounts. If you do not intend for your child to return to Holy Spirit next year, please complete and return the Intent Not To Return Form by December 18th. The form and the original letter explaining the re-registration process may be found at the bottom of this communication.

Winter Scantron Testing will begin January 11th for grades 3-7.

Monday, January 18th is a NO school day.

Incomplete or missing information on the symptom screening forms for school attendance
Dear Parents:

Please be certain you are completing the required symptom screening questionnaire in entirety, based on the morning assessment of your student. This include that last question pertaining to travel. No spaced should be left blank.

It is perfectly acceptable to pre-complete the form with contact information and student name, however, it is impossible to accurately pre-complete any other questions when they are variables which are prone to change. It could be assumed that when parents assess their student every morning, if there are any untoward symptoms, the student would not be in the classroom, however, sadly this is not always the case and should there be any need to verify data for community health, the form is of no value.

I understand this is an inconvenience, however, it is also the backbone of why we are able to attend school in person. Please consider that Holy Spirit School and the entire community is dependent on your current, accurate responses.

Drop off is a busy time, teachers are cold and struggling to assist slow or young students disembark to be able to move the line for everyone. Please help with this process by having an appropriately completed form.

Teachers will be more carefully scrutinizing the forms at drop off to ensure we have collected the required data. If your form is lacking information, you will be asked to complete the forms prior to permitting your student to exit the car.

Thank you for your continued support! It is only because of your conscientious support of our mitigation procedures that we have been able to maintain a healthy school with in person learning.

I am truly grateful!

Registration for the 2021/2022 academic year

We will consider your children to be automatically re-enrolled for the 2021/2022 academic year and the $100.00 non-refundable re-registration fee per child will be assessed as of January 1, 2021 via FACTS. If you know for certain that your child will not be returning please complete and return the Intent Not to Return prior to leaving for the Christmas break (December 18, 2020).
Required Symptom Screening Questionnaire
We continue to work on an App for the daily health screening. Students must continue to arrive at school each day with a paper copy of the completed form. We are asking for the paper copy for now as trying to manage emails from families at the start of each day is not workable or practical for the staff.
