From the Principal...

Dear St. Norbert School Families,

I would like to thank all of you–our faculty, staff, maintenance team, and Traffic Titans- for going above and beyond to ensure that the return to SNS was as smooth and safe as it could have been.

Thank you to our students for being so careful and caring and for abiding by the rules and trying to adapt to so much that is new.  From wearing masks to zooming in for class, the diligence displayed by our students this week has been remarkable. I am so proud of all of them!

Thank you to all the parents, especially all our new families, who read all the emails I sent this week and followed all the directions about uniforms, morning prayers and classroom zooms, traffic patterns and temperature checks. I have been very grateful for your patience, flexibility and good humor.

As we approach the Labor Day holiday, I cannot stress enough to the families who are attending school in-person to understand the importance of keeping your family out of unnecessary public situations that may lead to viral spread. The amount of work and effort that has been made to have our students and teachers return to school should be considered when evaluating the necessity of large group gatherings, especially those that include people outside of your established circle. As said before, sustaining in-person instruction will take commitment, sacrifice, and good decision-making by every member of our St. Norbert School community.

Please review the COVID-19 Information for Travelers which includes an updated list of travel destinations requiring quarantine. All members of the SNS community–students and their families, faculty and staff–must adhere to the regulations issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Health in regards to travel.

Thank you for checking your child’s temperature each morning before school.  Please remember if your child is showing signs of illness and/or fever, they MUST stay home and can participate in virtual instruction. Please email Mrs. Ezickson at [email protected] the reason for their absence by 8:45 AM.

Lastly, I would appreciate hearing your feedback about the first week of school. Please click HERE to access a brief Back to School survey. Please respond by Monday, September 7th.

I wish everyone a relaxing Labor Day holiday.

Blessings to your family,

Mrs. Mary Kay Hennessy, Principal
