Dear Cathedral Community,
In Exodus 3:1-15, we hear the story of Moses’ encounter with God at the burning bush—a moment of holy calling, of fear and faith, of being sent into the unknown. This story speaks powerfully to the experience of migration, reminding us that God walks with those who journey in search of safety, belonging, and new beginnings. It also invites us to reflect on how we, as people of faith, are called to stand with those on the move.
This Sunday, we are blessed to welcome The Rev. Daniel Romero as our guest preacher at both the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM services. Rev. Romero’s ministry is deeply rooted in advocacy for immigrants and refugees, and he brings a compassionate and prophetic voice to this important work. As we gather in worship, we will also lift up ECMN’s Migration Ministries—this Sunday’s plate donations will directly support their work in accompanying and serving migrant communities.
I also invite you to join us for a special Migration Ministry Education Session on Saturday, March 22, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Cathedral. This will be a time to learn, listen, and discern how we, as a faith community, can be a source of welcome, justice, and hope.
