Eternal God, we pray that we will make stewardship a way of life. We acknowledge you as the source of all we have and all we are.
Help us to place you, our loving Creator, first in our lives by becoming more prayerful, more focused on loving and caring for our families and our neighbors in need, and by becoming less preoccupied with material things.
Help us to hear your call to be good stewards, caretakers, and managers of all your gifts by sharing them for your purposes. Help us make your priorities our priorities and to put our faith into action. Help us plan to “give back” the talents, treasures, and time with which we have been blessed. Help us plan to serve our church, our community, and our world with your gifts. May we serve you and pray with a joyful spirit of mind and heart. Amen.
Dear Beloved Community,
As we continue this season of stewardship, let us reflect on the prayer above. It calls us to embrace a life of gratitude and service—placing God first, not just in word, but in how we live, share, and give. Stewardship is not just about financial support; it is about how we use all the gifts God has entrusted to us—our time, our talents, and our resources—to further God’s work in the world.
At Saint Mark’s, we see God’s abundance in our worship, our service to the marginalized, and our commitment to one another. As we care for the building that houses us, feeds the hungry, engages youth, and nurtures relationships within and beyond our walls, we live into our call to be good stewards.
This year, I invite you to prayerfully consider how you can give back through your gifts of time, talents, and treasures. Your support enables our ministries to thrive—from vibrant worship services to outreach initiatives addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and community connection. No gift is too small, and every offering matters.
Together, through faithful giving, we place God’s priorities at the center of our lives. We build a future grounded in hope, connection, and love. Stewardship is a reflection of our hearts—a joyful response to the abundance we have received.
I am grateful for each one of you and the ways you live out God’s call to serve. May we continue to grow as stewards of God’s gifts, serving one another with joyful hearts, trusting that God’s love is enough for us all.
Grace and peace,
The Rev. Timothy M. Kingsley
