From Barbara McGowan, director of communications

Dear Friends,
St. Columba's is growing in some great new directions, and while it is all very exciting, I find this a good time to set my talents on a new course. I am resigning as director of communications to relaunch my marketing/communications consulting business, and develop freelance opportunities within The Episcopal Church and beyond. August 14th will be my final day at St. Columba's.

I've had an excellent run of almost seven years at St. Columba's working with
an amazing staff, dedicated ministry leaders and faithful parishioners. I will miss you all! Luckily I have taken a few thousand pictures to remember you by!

Thank you, St. Columbans ... I am so grateful for the privilege to work in this great parish, and to learn and grow spiritually and professionally among you, and I give thanks for your abundant support and generosity of spirit!

Yours in Christ,
Barbara McGowan
Dear Ones,
St. Columba’s is a healthier church and a brighter light in the community thanks to the creative and steady communication produced by Barbara McGowan. She has designed and produced countless announcements, brochures, articles, and illustrated displays – in print and online; she has overseen special projects such as our new branding and updated website. All the while, she fields requests from parishioners and staff, produces the weekly enews, “bulletin wrappers,” and more. Ever the gracious and dedicated professional, Barbara has consistently helped the staff (and rector!) keep an eye out to prepare for and announce upcoming events.
Thank you Barbara! I am grateful!

As she sets forth for new professional adventures, please join me in giving Barbara our great thanks and wishing God’s blessing upon her path ahead. Since we can’t throw a party, if you’d like to offer a personal word of thanks, please sign this card ; we’ll send it to Barbara from all of us.
