Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
As our church grows, so do the opportunities to celebrate and serve.
The next week has local, national, and international events,
some of which overlap. As a result, we want to bring to
your attention key events in the next week or so.
Happening This Weekend. In addition to the Florida Seafood Festival on Friday and Saturday (November 1-2) in Apalachicola, Trinity will be hosting events across our campus over the weekend:
-
Friday (November 1, All Saints’ Day): Come join us for the Blessing of the Fleet at Riverside Park at 4:00 pm, followed immediately by the opening of the Florida Seafood Festival at Battery Park. (NOTE: admission is FREE on Friday) At 6 pm we will celebrate All Saints’ Day with Evening Prayer and Eucharist with the reading of the Communion of Saints in the church.
-
Saturday (November 2, All Souls' Day): A busy day here and for The Episcopal Church! The morning begins early in Benedict Hall as we host the Trinity Bake Sale from 9 am until 1 pm. Happening simultaneously in Benedict Hall will be the livestream of the Investiture of Presiding Bishop-Elect Sean Rowe, with a diocesan roll call at 9:30 am (the service itself is at 11 am). From Benedict Hall, if you walk to the corner of 6th St and Hwy 98 (in front of the rectory) you can catch the Florida Seafood Festival parade at 10 am.
-
Sunday (November 3): We will celebrate our regular Sunday Eucharist at 10:30 am in the church. This service will also include the reading of the Communion of Saints.
Happening Next Week. With Election Day upon us, the church will be open Monday through Thursday. Please stop by for peace, solitude, and prayer. We will also offer the following services and events:
-
Monday (November 4): Election Eve Vigil in the church at 6 pm.
-
Tuesday (November 5): On Election Day, we will celebrate Morning Prayer at 8:15 am, Noonday Prayer at 12 pm, and Evening Prayer at 5 pm, all in the church.
-
Wednesday (November 6): We will celebrate our regular Morning Prayer Rite II at 8:15 am in the church. At 8 pm The Order for Compline will be read online via our Facebook page.
-
Thursday (November 7): Happening at noon in Benedict Hall is the long-awaited Penny’s Worth luncheon, held to say thank you to the many volunteers and supporters of this thriving ministry. Along with food and refreshments, there will be a fashion show highlighting some of the fantastic finds there. We welcome those who are considering volunteering there as we always need helpers!
REMINDER: daylight saving time ends at 2 am on Sunday, November 3, when clocks will revert to 1 am,
putting us back into standard time.
God’s Peace,
Stephen
