Greetings!
I hope you and your families are healthy and safe!
This is a time like no other. Together we are facing an extraordinary situation and we have all had to adapt to a new reality. At First Keystone, we continue our strong commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and customers while also delivering uninterrupted service.
Our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. Despite the challenges we are all facing every day, it is also a time that brings out the best in many people. We continue to be inspired by the selfless healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers providing food, products and services, and by the dedication of our own employees.
Our role is more important than ever and in the spirit of caring for one another we strive each day to provide you with financial access, support and guidance. Our personal service combined with the latest technologies help to make managing your finances easier than ever and available when and where it’s convenient for you.
We have made it a priority to lend a helping hand during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic by:
- Launching a chat box on our website which allows you to ask questions and receive prompt answers to your banking questions,
- Increasing Mobile Remote Deposit limits,
- Implementing and enhancing preventative measures at branch and office locations to protect the health of both customers and employees, including: enhanced cleaning of our facilities, practicing “social distancing,” offering employees remote work options, holding meetings virtually, limiting the number of customers in the branch lobbies at one time while adhering to occupancy guidelines, and offering branch banking services via drive-thru windows,
- Informing customers about COVID-19 related scams and encouraging vigilant protection of personal information through blog articles, social media, and email marketing, and;
- Providing customers with updates and education through marketing and social media initiatives.
- Through our employee “Denim Day” initiatives, our employees donated $6,500 which has been distributed to local food banks throughout our footprint.
We are also very proud to announce that we have received a "PPP Award of Excellence" for providing “SBA Paycheck Protection Program” loans to our customers and helping to save jobs in our communities. (Please read more about this award below.)
The entire team at First Keystone is committed to being available to assist you when needed and we encourage you to reach out at any time. We will be here every step of the way and will continue to make the health and safety of our team members and customers our top priority during the coronavirus pandemic.
On behalf of everyone at First Keystone Community Bank, we look forward to continuing to serve all your banking needs in the years to come. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Warmest Regards,
Elaine A. Woodland

Taxpayers who need
last year’s tax return have several options.
|
|
Help is available for taxpayers who need tax information for prior years, but who didn’t keep copies of their returns.
You should generally keep copies of your tax returns and any documentation for
at least three years after you file. If you didn’t keep these records, here are some things you can do:
Ask Software Provider or Tax Preparer.
Those who need a copy of their tax return should check with their software provider or tax preparer first. Prior-year tax returns are available from the IRS
for a fee.
Get a Transcript.
Taxpayers who cannot get a copy of a prior-year return may order a tax transcript from the IRS. To protect taxpayers’ identities, this document partially masks personally identifiable information such as names, addresses and Social Security numbers. All financial entries, including the filer’s adjusted gross income, are fully visible. These are free and available for the most current tax year after the IRS has processed the return. People can also get them for the past three years.
Here are the Three Ways to Get Transcripts:
-
Get Transcript Online. People can use this tool to view, print or download a copy of all transcript types. Those who use it must authenticate their identity using the Secure Access process. Taxpayers who are unable to register or prefer not to use Get Transcript Online may use Get Transcript by Mail to order a tax return or account transcript type. Taxpayers should allow five to 10 calendar days for delivery.
-
By Phone. The number is 800-908-9946.
-
By Mail. Taxpayers can complete and send either Form 4506-T or Form 4506T-EZ to the IRS to get one by mail. They use Form 4506-T to request other tax records: tax account transcript, record of account, wage and income and verification of non-filing. These forms are available on the Forms, Instructions and Publications page on IRS.gov.
Request a Copy of a Tax Return from the IRS.
If necessary, taxpayers can request a copy of a tax return by completing and mailing Form 4506 to the IRS address listed on the form. There is a $50 fee for each copy and these are available for the current tax year and up to six years prior.

Take the Zero Day Challenge in 2021!
Track your spending and count the number of days when you spend $0. It’s that simple. Every day/week/month go through your spending and record it.
For every day you don’t spend any money, you get a “zero day.” The more “zero days” that you have, the better. As you progress through the Zero Day Challenge, you try and increase the number of zero days per month. The more zero days you have, the less your spending will be.
The real benefit of the Zero Day Challenge is that spending money becomes an uncommon event. Hopefully spending money becomes the exception, not the rule. Everyone likes to play games. How many zero days can you get in a month? The challenge forces you into a game where you minimize how much money you spend. Every time you whip out your wallet, you will weigh the pros and cons of the purchase, which hopefully leads to more responsible decisions.
You will always need to pay for your rent / mortgage, car, and food. Expenses like that will always be there. However, do you really need to go out and spend $10 for lunch and $5 for Starbucks, every single day? The answer might honestly be yes, but it also might be no. If you removed those two expenses, you would save $3,750 a year which, if invested, would take years off how long you need to work to retire.
Ideally, you should spend 5 minutes at the end of the day tracking your spending. If you did not spend any money, it is a “zero day.” If you did spend money, try and determine if the spending was necessary or not. You’ll be surprised how quickly those little, unnecessary self-indulgences cost you over the course of a year.
As you progress through the challenge, hopefully you start to recognize the actual benefit from buying things. Is it really providing you with happiness? If yes, that money was well spent. If not, maybe don’t buy it next time.
