Updates from the Certification Committee | |
We received 11 applications in January 2025, with a total of 22 applications from November 2024 to January 2025.
Here is the breakdown of the total number of newly certified members for 2024: 20 members certified as CPT, 13 members certified as CPT-S, 18 members certified via the APT-CAPT porting route, and 5 file reviews. The applicants are from various provinces in Canada. Congratulations to everyone!
We continue to receive certification applications and will review them, letting you know of the results as soon as possible.
We are working on creating a 2-hour course titled “Path to Certification,” which will be available to members for free and will count as CEUs for your membership requirements.
If you have any questions regarding certification standards and procedures, please join us at the monthly live Q&A sessions. The exact time and Zoom link are posted on the CAPT website in the certification section.

To maintain good standing, as a certified CAPT member, it is important that CEUs are completed by March 31 of each year. Members are invited to utilize the tracking system via their CAPT profile, which has undergone some updates to support service use. However, members are welcome to keep their own CEU tracking system. Members continue to be responsible for completing and maintaining a record of their CEUs for each year.
Our membership renewal date has been extended! Renew your membership by February 28, 2025, to avoid late fees, and to take advantage of discounts to our conference and training opportunities.
