Expanded WiFi Service
Good news! We have extended our WiFi coverage to provide better access to the community while our libraries are closed. WiFi at the Downtown Library now covers Lot B, the large parking lot at the corner of Jefferson and Middlefield. WiFi at Redwood Shores Branch Library covers the parking lot on the Community Rooms side of the building. Our Fair Oaks Branch Library is covered by San Mateo County WiFi that extends into the parking lot. Schaberg Branch Library does not have external WiFi coverage due to there being no adjacent parking lot. Our WiFi networks are available from 6:00am to 11:00pm.

NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION
|
|
The Redwood City Library Foundation is pleased to recognize Greystar Development as a $5,000 sponsor for the Makerspace in the Downtown Library. Greystar is a fully integrated company that develops and builds high-quality multifamily rental communities with mixed-use components across the United States, Europe, and Mexico. Greystar's Northern California team has long worked within the numerous communities across the Peninsula and has been a part of the Redwood City community for nearly a decade
Jonathan Fearn, Greystar Senior Director of Development, said “If you live in a Greystar building in Redwood City, the Downtown Library is your local branch. This historic space is part of what makes Redwood City vibrant, historic, and forward-thinking all at the same time. We are pleased to contribute to the Makerspace, a space that we believe will greatly serve the residents of this town, where business leaders, students, creatives, and more can come together to collaborate. We hope that by assisting with the realization of this effort, it can provide a meaningful space that will become a placemaking destination that allows people to learn, grow, live well, and foster a sense of togetherness – the Makerspace will be an exciting example bringing that shared vision to fruition.”
The RCLF thanks Greystar for their support! We need $185,000 more to meet our $354,000 fundraising goal for the Makerspace. To learn about Makerspace sponsorship or to make a donation, see our website: https://www.rclfdn.org/makerspace
