The Frostproof Area Chamber of Commerce is announcing a job opening.
Position: Executive Director
Job Description:
The Frostproof Area Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Executive Director position is a part-time position of 20 hours per week. These hours normally worked Monday through Friday, usually from the morning to early afternoon. However, due to various functions that the Executive Director must fulfill throughout the year, these hours will occasionally need to be flexible in order to accommodate those functions. The need for flexibility will be known well in advance of the events, so scheduling can be planned. Also, due to preparations that will be necessary for certain events, such as the Frostproof Orange Blossom Festival (February), there will be occasions when the Executive Director may need to work more, or less than 20 hours per week. On average, the time will be 20 hours per week. The Executive Director is employed and supervised by the FACC Board of Directors.

The Executive Director must know, or be willing to learn, how to recruit and retain members of the Chamber of Commerce. The Executive Director must present a pleasant and professional demeanor, be accessible to the Chamber members during business hours and be able to work closely with the Board of Directors, while still being able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Executive Director must be able to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the administrative offices of the City of Frostproof, the City Council, the residents and businesses of Frostproof and surrounding areas. The Executive Director must attend the FACC monthly Board of Director’s meetings and present the Director's Summary of activities.
