Frosty Fun & Winter Wonders

Our landscape is a blanketed with white, our Learning Center Barn is cozy and warm, and our new academic semester is in full swing. During this chill of winter, WPNR continues to provide a space for discovery, play, wellness, and solitude. We are refreshing materials, programs and our space, while training our staff in new and creative approaches to nature education and sustainable practices. Stop in our cozy space, inside or outside, and find a nature treasure along our trail, or check out a good read from one of our libraries.

One treasure found...three to go!

The #GOHOHO is a unique holiday treasure hunt celebrating the beauty of the seasons as we reflect on the joy of 2023 and all we’ve gleaned from nature. Four very special, one-of-a-kind gilded treasures were carefully hidden across the reserve, each one representing a season. You can find the clues to the remaining treasures on our Instagram, Facebook, and on paper in the Learning Center Barn.

Winter Weather Closures & Delays

In an effort to keep our staff and students safe this winter season, the Learning Center Barn may close due to inclement weather and scheduled programs may be cancelled and/or rescheduled.

We will post to Facebook and Instagram with updated closure and cancellations. The trails will remain open daily dawn to dusk!

WPNR is happy to again host an intern from Saint Vincent College's Bearcat BEST program! Cole will be working with our work study students to learn all about the care of our educational ambassador animals!
