Fruits of Our Labor
The 16th Annual Car Show and Street Fair was a success! With a nearly 70% increase in profits over last year's car show, the proof is in the numbers. However, it isn't all about the money. I saw kids enjoying the LAV, AAV & EOD demonstrations, while the Marines showed them around. I saw lots of strong people taking a swing at the Reach Out Morongo Basin's "Bash for Cash". I saw smiling faces wait in line at our numerous vendors. I saw beautiful, shiny cars, trucks & motorcycles from all over lined up for review. There were dances in front of DJ Demen5ion's booth. Soapbox derby races were run. Chili was tasted. Ice cream was demolished. Raffle prizes were won. It was by far a very fun event with an estimated 4,000 people who made it down to Luckie Avenue to enjoy the festivities.

The fun could not have happened if it wasn't for Mike & Lisa Ernst (Precision Lock Service), my patient assistant Ammara Kimso, my supportive employee Scott Clinkscales, the judges (Kenny Duke, Mike Peterson, Jim Harris, & Jerry Cobb), Larry Bowden, Boy Scout Troop 78 (Denice Ornelaz-Perez), the US Marine Corps, Shannon Ackerman, Donald Burton, all the volunteers (especially superstars Lance Corporal Iricelle Leatitia Simo Fomba, Staff Sergeant Patrick McKelvey, Staff Sergeant William Nessola, & 1st Lieutenant Heriberto Lopez for their long hours of work), the Morongo Basin Car Club Road Runners (Norm Correll), Wyoming Metalworks for the beautifully crafted trophies (Chris Salciccioli), Global Product Sales for the chili winner plaques (Patty Berlin), 4 Sports'N'More for the dash plaques (Angelina McGahuey), the City of Twentynine Palms & their amazing employees, President Carey Alderson, Little Caesar's of Twentynine Palms (Jermaine Rodney & his son), Stater Bros (Don Ehlenfeldt), Citizens on Patrol, ASYMCA (Yeseida Reyes), DJ Demen5ion, Joshua Doueik the Naked Juice guy, our vendors, our LONG list of sponsors, the generous donors who gave for the raffle prizes (prizes ranging from $350-$1300) & vehicle participants...I'm afraid I may have left someone out!

Thank you all! It was an amazing day, and I am grateful that each and every one of you were there to experience it!

Until Next Week,

Christine Hoenigmann
