WCAC Announces Fuel Assistance Application Deadline Extended 
Low Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) apps will be accepted until May 12th
Worcester, Massachusetts - Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. has announced that the deadline to apply for fuel assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been extended until May 12th. The program can provide benefits to households for heating expenses incurred between November 1st and April 30th. 

Interested households can v isit www.WCAC.net/Fuel   for additional information or call 508 754-1176 to schedule an appointment in Southbridge, Webster or Worcester.

Eligibility is based on total household income. An individual making under $34,000 is eligible while a family of four could be making as much as $65,000 and be eligible. The LIHEAP program provides financial assistance by paying fuel vendors directly for income-eligible households including individuals, families, single or multi-family homes, owners or renters, and can be heating with sources including, but not limited to, oil, gas or electric heat.
