Nurturing the Next Wave of Philanthropists: Centre PACT in Action

Last Sunday, our teen philanthropists honed their skills in crafting effective fundraising letters and identifying strong grant applications.

Next month, they’ll engage with local philanthropists in an interactive “Why We Give” panel.

Centre PACT empowers Centre County high school students to address local youth issues, support nonprofits, and make a real impact. Since 2016, they’ve raised and granted over $52,000 for our Community.

Howard Area Food Bank is a Lifeline for Centre & Clinton Counties

For 40 years, Howard Area Food Bank has supported our community.

Now, with seed money from Centre

Foundation and help from local contractors they can upgrade to state-of-the-art walk-in coolers. This means safer food storage, lower energy use, and easier distribution for volunteers.

In May 2024, they served 87 families, including 135 seniors and 20 kids. With these upgrades, and thanks to the generous donors they’re ready to do even more!
