There's Still Time to Make a Difference!

Today's the Last Day as we close the books on this program year. Help us reach our goal.

Hear from one educator about the impact JA is having on her students.

Meet Sedona, a 4th grade teacher at Sugar Creek Charter School. Sedona brought her students to JA BizTown this past Spring and witnessed something extraordinary:

“It was amazing to watch how their [the students'] vocabulary has grown... words like entrepreneur and philanthropist. Their ability to do the math, adding and subtracting decimals, really surprised me.”

Students saw themselves in new roles. They left not just smarter, but more confident. That’s the power of hands-on learning.

For just $120, or $10/month, you can make sure students like Sedona’s receive real-world financial education.

Levine Scholar Makes Real Impact

Celebrating Aria Cornwall's Impact at JA

Aria recently wrapped up her internship with Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the meaningful contributions she’s made to our mission.

Aria, a rising sophomore at UNC Charlotte majoring in Finance and Management Information Systems, brought curiosity, energy, and a strategic mindset to her time with us.

Throughout her internship, she played an essential role in strengthening our programs and operations, diving into data analysis to help us better understand and enhance our impact.

One of Aria’s key contributions was supporting the development of a college volunteer recruitment strategy. Her work will help Junior Achievement build deeper relationships with local universities and expand our pipeline of passionate, engaged volunteers who are critical to bringing JA’s programs to life.

Aria’s thoughtful approach and commitment to learning have made a lasting impression. We are grateful for her service and proud to have been part of her professional journey. We can’t wait to see what she does next!

Thank you, Aria!

That's a Wrap!

JA Summer Camp: A Season of Growth, Leadership, and Lasting Memories

Last Friday, we wrapped up another incredible season of JA Summer Camp, concluding with the final day of Camp CEO, and what a summer it’s been!

Over the past several weeks, students from across our community learned about different careers at Camp Career Quest and stepped into the shoes of business leaders, city officials, and financial decision-makers through hands-on simulations at JA BizTown Camp.

From budgeting basics to running a thriving mini-economy, campers built essential life skills and explored what it takes to succeed in the real world.

Our final week, Camp CEO, took the experience to the next level. Middle school students worked together to develop their own business concepts, craft detailed business plans, and pitch their ideas in a dynamic competition.

The creativity, teamwork, and confidence they demonstrated were nothing short of inspiring.

Throughout the summer:

  • Campers practiced critical thinking, collaboration, and financial decision-making.
  • Students connected with volunteers and mentors who offered real-world advice and encouragement.
  • Lifelong memories were made as students experienced the excitement of leading, learning, and growing together.

Thank you to our incredible campers, volunteers, and staff who made this summer unforgettable. The energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity our students brought to JA Summer Camp remind us why investing in young people is so important.

We’re already counting down to next summer!

Ally Volunteers Spark Creativity

Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming an incredible team from Ally to Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas!

These talented volunteers rolled up their sleeves and dove into our

Campaign Concept Lab, helping us shape a new way to engage small and mid-sized businesses through our upcoming Fund a Class, Fuel the Future Campaign.

Their creativity, collaboration, and passion for community made a lasting impact, and their ideas will directly help us bring more JA BizTown and Finance Park experiences to local students.

Thank you, Ally team, for investing your time and talents to help us build brighter futures!
