Other Essay Tips
- After you've written a first draft of your Personal Statement and Statement of Grant Purpose, look again at the questions Fulbright has asked you to address to ensure you have done so adequately in your text.
-
When drafting your Statement of Grant Purpose, it may be useful to use keywords to introduce each section of your essay, such as Previous Work on Topic:, Academic/Research Questions:, Methods:, Timeline:, Host Country Engagement:, Curriculum Relevance:, etc. Given space limitations, these keywords can be situated right at the beginning of the opening line of the relevant paragraph text. Such keywords can be helpful textual anchors for application reviewers who are reading many essays!
