Culture, Transparency, and Compensation Philosophies
Culture is a vital element of any organization, especially within the nonprofit sector. Naturally, the goal is developing and sustaining a positive culture, which contributes to high employee retention and satisfaction, among many other important benefits.
Transparency can strengthen an organization’s positive culture and creating an organizational compensation philosophy is one of the proven tactics confirming authentic transparency and driving positive culture forward.
Fulcrum Charter Members dove into compensation philosophies during the most recent "mixer" with the expert facilitation of social entrepreneur and facilitator of change, John E. Kobara. Connecting an organization’s ambition with personal ambition, pegging compensation objectives against peers and aspirant peers, and pegging the percentage pay gap between the top earner and the bottom earner were among the key topics discussed.
For those leaders with experience creating a compensation philosophy, I'd appreciate you adding your thoughts and guidance to the recent LinkedIn post.
