Non-Compete Legislation Moves Forward!

The FAFP's number one legislative priority, Senate Bill 458, was passed by the Senate Committee on Commerce and Tourism yesterday, giving it two favorable committee stops this session. Although it remains unlikely that it will pass through to the full Senate or be heard by any House committees during the 2024 legislative session, this remains very positive momentum for legislation that, just two years ago, wouldn't have gotten a hearing had it been proposed. Another positive occurrence was FAFP member Tristan Brooks, DO, serving as Doctor of the Day on February 2 - shown on the left with her sponsor Representative Michelle Salzman. CLICK HERE to read the week four FAFP Capitol Update.
