HOW WE'RE PLANNING TO BRING FERRY SERVICE BACK
Most San Francisco Bay Ferry service is currently suspended due to the COVID-19 crisis. We are operating limited service for essential workers on our Vallejo and Alameda/Oakland routes on weekdays. The Harbor Bay, Richmond and South San Francisco routes have been suspended, as have all weekend service and extension service to Pier 41 and Mare Island.

Service was cut to support regional public health orders for residents to shelter in place to reduce spread of coronavirus in the Bay Area, as well as to meet the significantly lowered demand.

We are planning for when that demand comes back.

FIRST ELECTRIC FERRY COMING TO SAN FRANCISCO
WETA has been awarded a $9 million grant from the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) to build a battery-electric, zero-emission passenger ferry to serve the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco. The ferry will be WETA’s first all-electric vessel.

FERRY TALES
Jeunesse has been riding San Francisco Bay Ferry for more than nine years! She commutes from Vallejo to San Francisco and enjoys the views, speed, reliability, and safety that the ferry provides. Jeunesse has met lifelong friends riding the ferry - she even met the officiant of her wedding!

STAYING SAFE ON THE FERRY
Face coverings are now required when riding San Francisco Bay Ferry. Passengers must also continue to social distance at least 6-feet apart. Thank you for doing your part to ensure the safety of essential ferry passengers and crew.
