From the Pastor
Welcome to worship at First United Methodist Church of Naples! I pray that you and your loved ones have been safe and healthy this past week and I look forward to being together with you in worship this morning, even if it is virtually.
This morning, we are pleased to have one of our youth, Jackson Parry, read Scripture and serve as Acolyte. Our amazingly talented and faithful organist, Arthea Brimmer, will bless you on both organ and piano, as will Ivy Peden, our guest soloist, who will sing “
On Eagle's Wings
Several people have asked for some background on our talented guest musicians who have helped us become centered and ready for worship each week. Our soloist, Ivy Peden is a native Floridian with her bachelor of music from Florida International College. She has performed with the Naples Players, the Shower Stall Opera and the Three for All Group in Naples. Ivy has sung in churches throughout Florida and in Nashville while studying there, as well as performing at a church convention in England.
Those of you who have been here for many years will remember Betty and Glen Weston. Betty passed away in February and we held her service here in early March. Glen is in his final hours, so we are praying for comfort and smooth transition as he goes on to glory, where he will be together with Betty again. Please pray for their daughter, Nancy.
See you soon in worship! As always, you can tune in to this service any time that is convenient for you or you can join the majority of us who will be watching together, remotely, on Sunday morning at 10:15am.
Love and blessings,
