Walk with pride flier

Walk with Pride: A Tour of Springfield's LGBTQ+ History


We had so much interest (and so many reschedules!) in June that we are keeping the celebration going. After all, Pride isn't just one month, and neither is our commitment to honoring LGBTQ+ history.


Join us for a free walking tour of historic LGBTQ+ sites in Downtown Springfield. From Ethel Mars to Smokey’s Den to The Prairie Flame to PrideFest, we have a lot to be proud of.


The total distance will be a little under 2 miles, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Spinetinglers Horror Book Club


This book club for fans of ghosts, vampires, and other spooks and ghouls meets on the third Tuesday of each month for discussion of a different horror book.



This month's selection is Sisters of the Lost Nation by Nick Medina. Haunted by bullies, a mysterious legend, and sinister events on her reservation, Anna Horn must confront both ancient myths and modern horrors to uncover the truth and save her missing sister.
