With a brand new fire alarm system in place, the library is ready to open our doors to the public beginning Monday, September 21 at 10:00 AM. Here's what you need to know:
Monday and Wednesday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Friday and Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Curbside appointments are no longer required to pick up materials. When you are notified that an item you have put on hold is available, you will have 7 days to pick up the item in person at the library. You can come any time during our operating hours above.
Please be sure to have your library card with you! For the safety of our staff, we will be asking you to hold up your card for us to scan rather than handling your personal materials.
Still need a contact-less pick up for safety? Appointments will still be available on a limited basis on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Call (401) 294-3306 x115 to schedule an appointment.
All regular services are available during operating hours. Computers, printing, copying, and faxing are downstairs in the Reference Department. Computers will be available on a first-come first-serve basis for 20 minute sessions.
Due to CDC guidance, magazines and newspapers will be unavailable for reading in library. Magazines, including the most recent editions, will be available for borrowing.
All of the library's collections will be available for browsing. Please maintain 6 feet social distance from others while browsing in the library.
Meeting rooms, the quiet study room, and sitting areas throughout the library remain unavailable at this time.
Cloth facial masks covering both the nose and mouth will be required for entry in the building and must be worn properly throughout your visit.
We will have a staff member welcoming visitors as we begin this transition to help guide you and answer any of your questions. If you would like to speak to someone before you arrive, you may call us at (401) 294-3306, visit our website to chat with a staff member during our operating hours, or email us.
