Fullerton Ave Streetscape Improvements
Bauler Playlot Redesign Community Meeting
|
|
Dear Neighbor,
I am pleased to announce that this week a series of infrastructure improvements to W. Fullerton Ave between Ashland and Racine begins. This project will make the Fullerton Ave. business area more attractive, with street resurfacing, widened sidewalks, railroad track removal, installation of trees and tree grates, and updated lighting.
Construction starts
at the corner of Ashland and Fullerton and moves eastward on the south side of Fullerton for the first three months. Then, work shifts to the north side of the street at Fullerton and Racine and moves westward for the final three months. Pedestrian access will not be impeded during the project, though parking will be restricted in work zones. Major infrastructure is expected to be completed by November. Car traffic each way will not be impeded, but we suggest that cyclists take an alternate route.
Weekly public meetings will take place at
11 AM on Tuesdays at 1851 N. Elston starting April 26th.
