In an effort to increase COVID-19 testing and make testing accessible to all county residents, the Fulton County Board of Health is implementing mobile testing sites at various locations.

No appointment is needed at the mobile testing sites. Two testing sites were open this week for two days only.

When new mobile locations are opened, information on these sites will be posted on the COVID-19 Testing Site webpage.

Fulton County residents who have questions or feel they require testing should call the Fulton County Board of Health COVID-19 Hotline at 404-613-8150 to get an appointment at any of these two locations:
 
  • Wolf Creek Amphitheater, 3025 Merk Road, SW, College Park, GA 30349
  •  4700 North Point Parkway
 
The hotline is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fulton County is also coordinating with other public and private agencies to increase the availability of COVID-19 testing throughout the community:

Six New Symptoms of COVID-19 Added to List
Six new symptoms have been added to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) existing list of symptoms for COVID-19. The new symptoms are chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste and/or smell. These symptoms join the original symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath/difficulty breathing. Symptoms of COVID-19 typically appear 2-14 days after exposure and range from mild to severe.
Fulton Provides Six Medical Transport Units to South Fulton Cities to Aid in COVID-19 Response
To assist with COVID-19 response, Fulton County has leased 6 medical transport units to support emergency medical service response in South Fulton, which includes many of the ZIP codes with the greatest incidence of COVID-19 in Fulton County. These will be shared among the cities. 

Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts, Vice Chairman Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., Commissioner Joe Carn, Fulton County Manager Dick Anderson were there to kick off the event on Friday. The fire chiefs of the cities of City of South Fulton, Union City, Fairburn, College Park, Chattahoochee Hills, East Point and Palmetto requested the support of additional medical transport vehicles for 90 days during COVID-19 response. These vehicles will be shared by the cities and used by their fire departments for medical transport if Grady EMS is unable to meet demand. Many of the Fulton County ZIP Codes with the highest incidence of COVID-19 disease are located in South Fulton County. 
Vice Chair Arrington Hosts Virtual Town Hall
Fulton County Vice-Chairman Marvin S. Arrington, Jr. hosted a virtual Town Hall meeting with District 5 constituents to discuss community services impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
Topics included discussion of testing sites, offerings for homebound seniors, courts services through the crisis, virtual arts classes, the upcoming primary election, Fulton County digital services, and the 2020 US Census.

Food Resources and Assistance
Families and individuals needing assistance with food and meals can find help on Fulton County's "Food and Meals" webpage.
 
Residents can enter their address to find the nearest food bank. They can also search for a food bank or agency by city.
 
Fulton County Board of Health Epidemiology Reports on COVID-19
The Fulton County Board of Health Epidemiology Division produces reports providing data regarding the distribution of COVID-19 cases within Fulton County.

The reports include statistics on the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases by city and zip code. The reports also include the percentage of people needing hospitaliza tion, were admitted to ICU, or required assisted ventilation.

June 9, 2020 Elections
Fulton County Registration and Elections has compiled a list of frequently asked questions about the upcoming elections on June 9, 2020. The new FAQ webpage has answers about absentee ballot, early voting, or voting in person on election day. Deadline to register to vote or update voter registration is May 11, 2020.
 
Public Works Gears Up for National Drinking Water Week
On May 4 – 8, this year, National Drinking Water Week (NDWW) will once again provide a great opportunity to recognize state and local drinking water programs and water utilities to promote the value of drinking water. This year’s theme is “Water Works Wonders!”  
 
Throughout the week, the Department of Public Works will guide residents through the process of how “raw” untreated water is transformed into safe, clean tap water once it flows from the Chattahoochee River and into the reservoirs at the Tom Lowe Atlanta-Fulton County Water Treatment Plant. Batter Up Foods Invests $34M In Fulton County Waffle Plant

Governor Brian P. Kemp announced Batter Up Foods’ sister company, SatisPie, will invest up to $34 million as it expands its product offerings to include waffles and pancakes for businesses across North America. Headquartered in Rochester, New York, this marks the company’s first location in Georgia, which will ultimately create 162 jobs.

The facility, located in Fulton Industrial Park, was previously used in food production and will be upgraded in phases beginning this year. Individuals who are interested in career opportunities with Batter Up Foods at the new location are encouraged to reach out to [email protected] .
