LIBRARY NEWS

CPL will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

On Monday, May 29, check out the Pancake Breakfast from 8 - 10 a.m. at the South Congregational Church, and then the Memorial Day Parade through Main Street Centerville!

ATTENTION!

Thanks to a generous grant of $61,000 from the Mass Cultural Council, the library will have a new portico constructed at the front entry of the library. Construction begins on May 15, and will continue for approximately six weeks. The library will be fully operational during construction. However, the front entrance to the library will not be accessible. Patrons and visitors must use the side entrance by South Congregational Church. This entrance is fully accessible and offers handicap parking spots and an elevator for easy access to the lower level community rooms and bookstore.

For a list of our hours please visit our website www.centervillelibrary.org or call 508-790-6220.

Artist of the Month: Jacqui Hawk

She began her career in the arts over 30 years ago. She is an experiential artist, impacted by the innate desire to depict her intimate feelings and views on to the canvas in a spontaneous, raw and abstract self-expression.

She works mainly in acrylic and mixed media, including wax, pearlescent powders, stained glass pieces, collage, and unusual objects she finds washed up on the beach.

Jacqui Hawk's artwork is on display in the front lobby for the month of May, and is available for purchase. A portion of the artwork sales benefit Centerville Public Library.
