HEART DISEASE AND PREVENTION

Home Helpers is pleased to announce the roll-out of our new educational program on cardiac health, starting with our office in-service event presented by Healing Hearts Holistically.

For several months now, curriculum has been developed specifically for our caregivers. Our goal is for you to become experts in the field of cardiac health.

You will be instrumental in helping your client stay out of the hospital and lead a healthier lifestyle. Since diet plays a major role in heart failure, focus will be on reading nutritional labels and understanding what a heart healthy meal is about. Not only will your client benefit from your knowledge, but you will too!

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

EMILY FOLEY JOINS THE MENTORSHIP TEAM

Emily Foley began working at Home Helpers in 2019. She has worked as a CNA for 10 years. Emily is a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, and she has provided care for many people, including her own dad, until his end of life in 2020. Her experience as a caregiver evolved into many other roles, which included sharing her knowledge with other caregivers, introducing them to new clients, providing hands on training, and helping with care plans.

In May of 2020, Emily left Home Helpers to take on a new role. She became a mother! Her beautiful daughter Oakleigh is now 2 and in daycare. She just returned to Home Helpers this past July and will resume her role of being a caregiver, support administration, and mentor our new caregivers. Welcome back Emily!
