Birth in Color RVA in Partnership with Henrico County Health Department has created a program that allows for 160 pregnant people to receive free Doula services. In return the Doulas in the Network will be compensated to give those services at the normal rate. It’s a win win for all.
The Henrico County Community Doula Program is still going strong and has the capacity to take on 60 more pregnant people, all applications need to be completed by October 31st. The Birth in Color, RIC Doula Project is only able to accept pregnant people who identify as Black, Brown or Indigenous.
NAMI Virginia and Virginia Family Network have come together to create a cookbook to highlight "stock the freezer" quick/easy meals that you use when your family is experiencing a stressful/challenging time, or you share with other families. But first, they need recipes!! Interested in sharing a recipe? Please submit your favorite shareable recipe HERE to have it included in our "Stock the Freezer" cookbook!
Enjoy the read along “First Day Jitters” to get ready for the start of school!
