Chaka made her debut in the game between the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is only the third woman to serve as an on-field official in the NFL. The historic moment came after Chaka joined the League’s Officiating Development Program in 2014. The League announced in March that Chaka would be added to the roster of 2021 NFL officials.
