NEW BEGINNINGS
Our greatest joy are the connections. The families, patients, medical staff, volunteers and community. More than ever before, we are missing those cherished human connections the Guest House provides and finding creative ways to connect our supporters to opportunities that continue to enrich the mission of hospitality at St. Mary's Hospital. With that said, we are very excited to launch a bi-monthly newsletter.

The Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House suspended lodging and respite support services on March 23 due to the COVID 19 health crisis. Those affected by this unprecedented crisis and the frontline workers tending to them remain in our thoughts and prayers.

With an abundance of caution and new protocols guiding our team, we resumed Guest House operations on July 6. Whether welcoming familiar faces of our Hope Therapy families, the sleep-deprived parents of a NICU baby, or the grieving partner with a loved one in hospice, we are grateful to be of service. HOSPITALITY HELPING HANDS
During these challenging times, we are encouraging an “Impact Without Contact” approach to supporting the Guest House. Like Annie making and delivering decorations for our dining room, heartfelt individually packaged meal deliveries from neighborhood businesses like Chesapeake Bank, socially distanced cleaning projects, or making pantry welcome bags at home, we ask for support by becoming Hospitality Helping Hands.

EVENTS UPDATE
This year’s 6th annual Rockin’ on the Avenue fundraiser was cancelled in April due to COVID-19. We knew this was the right decision, but it was a significant loss for our mission and the more than 150 supporters who join us annually for this fundraiser. We are gearing up for 2021 and super excited to share fantastic virtual sponsorship opportunities, delicious ticket packages and requesting auction donations. Save the date: Rockin' on the Avenue is going virtual on June 3, 2021!

Save the Date: The Reinhart Guest House parking lot will host Salt & Forge and jiji frozen custard food trucks on Wednesday, September 17 from 5 - 8:30 p.m. Pre-order, pick-up and dine at home! 25% of food sales will support the Guest House Family Financial Need Fund - helping fund room nights for families in need! Need another reason to support? Chesapeake Bank will match up to $2,000 of the sales. Mouth watering menus and links for ordering will be available in coming days.
