67th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

On June 4th the Chamber held our 67th Annual Golf Tournament. Teams gathered at Dutch Elms Golf Course on a (thankfully) sunny day to raise scholarship funds for local students. Congratulations to the team from Maine Water for their 1st place finish!

Monthly Member Spotlight: Broad Reach Sailing
Broad Reach Sailing offers guided sailing tours in Saco Bay or up the Saco River on their breathtaking 42' sailboat. It's a unique and memorable way to experience our beautiful area with friends or family, out on the water on your own customizable tour adventure with expert and hospitable hosts.

New Summer Courses at YCCC

York County Community College is pleased to offer several courses preparing people for industry certifications. They have courses in Basic EMT, Emergency Telecommunications (Dispatch), and ServSafe. Register now for courses.

Saco Center Celebration

The University of Maine at Augusta's Saco Center will be celebrating 30 years of successful distance learning on Wednesday, July 17th from 4:00-6:00pm - contact the Saco Center for more details at (207) 282-4111.
Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

If you work in Biddeford on a permanent basis you are eligible for a FREE McArthur public library card, even if you don't live in Biddeford. Bring a pay stub to prove your employee status. The offer also applies to those who study here with a valid school ID.
Support Our Summer Intern

This July our summer intern Maddy Jarvis is participating in the 12th annual Tri for a Cure. She's excited to participate in her first ever triathlon in memory of her Grandmother who she lost to both Ovarian and Breast cancer. As part of the event, each participant is required to raise a minimum of $500 to support the cause. All funds raised stay in Maine and are used to support prevention, screening and early detection programs to ensure the highest quality care for every Mainer.

Create a Social Media Video for your Business
Chamber member Your Real Estate Team @ Keller-Williams is continuing to produce free videos promoting your business to post on social media. The videos are easy to do and are a few minutes long. Our annual Biddeford & Saco Chamber of Commerce Area Guidebook is updated for 2019. It includes a complete member listing along with a helpful calendar of major events in the region.
