Looking to have some fun while staying cool? Museums are a great place to learn and beat the heat this summer. Delaware County offers a unique variety of museums for arts, sports, science, and history enthusiasts alike.

Earlier this summer, we shared 11 great spots for ice cream and water ice in Delco, but thought: Why stop there? Whether you like to kick it old-school with a cherry “wooder ice” or go all in with an over-the-top sundae, Delco’s got you covered. Here are more spots to add to your summer sweets roster.

Inspired by Africa’s and Asia’s lively outdoor markets, these roaming, family-friendly, street festivals celebrate up-and-coming neighborhoods and showcase Delco’s diverse entrepreneurial and culinary landscapes and vibrant arts and culture scene. Markets are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The next market will be held August 8th at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack.

Throughout the month of August, Tyler Arboretum is buzzing with activity. From the Pollinator Preserve, Fragrant Garden, Native Woodland Walk, Meadow Maze, Lucille's Garden, and more, Tyler offers spaces and places to discover nature, engage in family fun, or find quiet reflection.

Summer days were made for play in Delco! Plan a visit and enjoy beautiful trails, parks and gardens, historic spaces, art, culture, theater, and SO much more! Download the Summer Trail Pass and check in for your chance to win.
