Training our Next Generation of Resource Management Professionals

California needs to expand its forestry and land management workforce. In partnership with UC Berkeley, a three-day forestry workshop was recently held at Blodgett Forest Research Station near Georgetown. The overnight camp provides training for individuals that may be interested in a resource management or forestry-focused profession. Programs like this are made possible by CAL FIRE's Business and Workforce Development Program, which works to grow California's wood products industry and increase opportunities for people in the field.
