NOW HIRING!

Fund a Field Trip Today!

March at CAN held a full month of Afterschool Program, food distributions, and events (finally no snow days)! Now, with about 6 weeks left of ASP, we are looking ahead to Summer Camp. Lessons are written, t-shirts are ordered, and we are making final preparations to our schedule. This means... FIELD TRIPS!

Field trips are an integral part of summer camp and an opportunity for our campers to explore and learn! But field trips have gotten expensive, so we are doing a fundraiser to ensure our campers don't have to forgo this experience and can enjoy an end of camp celebration.

Your donation today will ensure our 110 campers can attend 3 field trips each this summer, as well as an end-of-camp trip to Best in Games.

Every donation counts!

$50 sends a camper on our end-of-camp trip and $500 sends ALL the campers at one CAN site on an exciting field trip!

This summer students will be exploring everything from wildlife, ecosystems, businesses and more! Stay tuned to our social media on Friday for the official launch of our Summer Camp 2026 theme!

For now, here's a sneak peak of some lessons...

Updates from March

Cooking classes at GBC have been a huge success so far! We’ve had an incredible turnout from community members, and the dishes created have been absolutely delicious, including Build-Your-Own Grain Bowls!

Our event to celebrate all the moms at Creekside was also a wonderful success, filled with appreciation, connection, and joy.

Events like these bring people together and help build a strong sense of togetherness and belonging. And of course they’re a lot of fun, too!

Shoutout to our dedicated weekly volunteers Andy and Melissa Zamora for their commitment to our students! They have been hosting Lego FIRST lessons, and the kids are so engaged!

Last but not least, thanks to everyone who joined us for our Tour De CAN event! We love showing our supporters around CAN. With March being Reading Month, it felt like the perfect time to put on a sample Beyond the Books lesson - Hula Hoopin' Queen!

CAN's Annual Mental Health Resource Fair

Join us for an afternoon of resource sharing, smoothies, great networking, and more! CAN will be hosting our 3rd Mental Health Resource Fair with over 2 dozen community organizations sharing their resources and goodies. Join us and bring a friend - all are welcome! The event is free and will be rain or shine!

You're invited!

NOW Hiring Summer Program Facilitators!

6-Week Summer Day Camp

8 Week Commitment

Monday-Friday

35 hours/week from June 15-August 7

CAN Summer Program Facilitators work with a dedicated team to operate a 6-week educational summer program at one of CAN's multiple sites, partnering with rising 1st-6th graders to participate in fun and engaging activities centered around a STEAM-based curriculum designed to prevent summer learning loss.

This year, we are partnering with AmeriCorps VISTA's Summer Associate Program. So, our Summer Camp staff will be hired and onboarded through AmeriCorps and work directly at CAN.
