Your IMRF benefits do not include health insurance. For health insurance after retirement, you have a number of options depending on your circumstances. One option is to purchase an individual health insurance policy.

Your Annual Benefit Statement will be Available in Member Access in November
Every November IMRF will provide an online Benefit Statement for the next year. You can view or download your Benefit Statement from Member Access quickly and easily!

This statement ensures you have up-to-date information about your IMRF benefits and account information. Your IMRF Benefit Statement for 2022 will be available in Member Access starting November 9th. It will include the following information:

  • The amount of your annual increase and the amount of your 2022 pension

  • Current beneficiary information

  • Information about your 1099-R tax form

Please Note: Benefit Statements will no longer be mailed.

To view your Benefit Statement once it becomes available in November, you will need to log into your Member Access account. If you do not already have a Member Access account, you will need a Registration Key to create one. To get your registration key, you can either call 1-800-ASK-IMRF (275-4673) and ask for the key from your current Statement of Benefits, or you can click here to request that a new registration key be mailed to you.

If you retired in 2021, you will not receive a statement this fall.

To Send a Secure Message to IMRF online, log into Member Access. After you log in, go to the Quick Links section in the right column of the home page, and click on Secure Message.
You can also attach documents to your secure message.
