Your 13th Payment is Coming in July!
Retirees who have received pension payments for at least 12 months in a row are qualified to receive a supplemental payment every July. We refer to this as the 13th Payment. The 13th Payment will be issued this year on
July 8.

For 2021, the 13th Payment amount for qualifying members will be 24.73% of the June amount. To read more about 13th Payments and whether you qualify, please click here.
The Retiree Lifestyle Workshops will be offered online in an interactive webinar format again this year, with the opportunity to ask questions. These webinars are for IMRF retirees only.


How High Do You Bounce?
Every one of us has been challenged by a tough situation sometime in our lives. We have also most likely witnessed highly resilient people that have the ability to adapt, recover, and grow stronger from difficult situations. In this workshop, learn what characteristics resilient people possess that help them create opportunities from challenges, and how you can also nurture and strengthen your resilience.

Finding Your Get Up and Go
Most people find that there are some days when it’s hard to find the motivation to accomplish what needs to be done, even those things that are important. This session will cover what accounts for the ebb and flow of motivation levels and how to boost enthusiasm when it just seems hard to “get going.”

Using Mindfulness to Manage Stress
The practice of mindfulness, or paying purposeful attention to the present moment, offers a way to slow down, enjoy life more and reduce stress. This session will help you explore the benefits of mindfulness meditation and learn techniques that reduce stress and increase life satisfaction.

Member Access - How To
View or Download Your Certificate of Benefits
When you retire, you receive a Certificate of Benefits from IMRF.

Your Certificate of Benefits includes the:

  • Amount of your monthly pension
  • Effective date of your pension
  • Amount of your annual increase
  • Details about your death benefits
  • Explanation of how your pension will be taxed

To view your Certificate of Benefits online, log into Member Access. After you log in, click on the My Account tab in the upper left corner of the page and then click on Documents. In the drop down menu, under View My Documents, click on Certificate of Benefits.
If you do not already have a Member Access account, you will need a registration key mailed to you to create one. You can generate a new registration key by clicking here.
