Three Candidates for Two Employee Trustee Positions

Three candidates are running for two Employee Trustee positions. Candidate biographies can be viewed now by clicking here.

Election ballots and instructions will be mailed to members' homes in the second half of October.

You are entrusted with the important responsibility of selecting and voting for the Trustee candidate that you believe will have the most positive impact on IMRF. This process only works if your are engaged and vote.

“Trustees play a vital role in shaping IMRF services, so taking the time to vote for the best candidate is definitely to your benefit,” said Brian Collins, IMRF Executive Director.

Please carefully follow the instructions on the ballot and mail it back in the provided envelope.

The deadline for receipt of ballots is December 4 at 4:30 PM CST.

IMRF's Pre-Retirement Workshops are for IMRF members who are within five years of retirement. They will address the steps you must take before and during the IMRF retirement application process.

Thursday, November 5, 11 am - 12 pm (central time)
Saturday, November 14, 9 am -10 am (central time)

Member Access - Did You Know?

You Can Reinstate Your IMRF Service Credit Online

Did you know you can apply online in Member Access to reinstate past service credit? If you stopped working for your IMRF employer and took a refund of your contributions, you may redeposit those withdrawn contributions plus interest and reinstate your years of service credit.

To be eligible for reinstatement of refunded service credit you must meet both of these criteria:

You must be currently participating in IMRF or another retirement system covered by the Illinois Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act.
You must have completed at least two years of contributing service under IMRF or another retirement system covered by the Illinois Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act following the date of your last refund.

You can complete an Application for Reinstatement of Service Credit in Member Access. Click on the link below. You will be prompted to log into your Member Access account. After logging in, you will see a list of Secure Online Forms. At the bottom of the list, choose Apply for Reinstatement of IMRF Service Credit.
