T his year marks the 48 th year that RMA and ECU have partnered to provide Fundamentals on Which Careers are Built Instructors with vast and diverse commercial banking experiences use lectures, case studies, class discussion, and participant interaction to create a dynamic learning environment. Year 1 Spotlight – Business & Personal Tax Return Analysis with David Pope. David is a seasoned banker with 33 years in the financial services industry. He began his career as a Financial Analyst with BB&T working is way up through various roles and areas of banking and now serving with First Citizens as a manager in Credit Administration Operations with a focus on special projects.
 
Year 2 Spotlight – Global Cash Flow with Kevin Futrell, Synovus Bank
Kevin has spent his entire 29-year career in Commercial Banking, including both Line and Credit positions. He has been instrumental in the development of the Synovus Bank Global Cash Flow Model as well as various underwriting/analysis templates.
 
Year 3 Spotlight – Commercial Property Construction Lending with Jim Leeds. J im is a lifelong banker with over 35 years in the industry. His banking experience includes retail and commercial lending, loan/credit review management, loan workout and as a senior credit officer with an emphasis on lending to small businesses and home builders. Jim currently works as a Senior Vice President at Sandy Spring Bank where he is a Senior Credit Officer in Northern Virginia.
