Encourage grant applications on the effects of changing cannabis laws and policies in the US and globally on public health.
National Science Foundation (NSF) Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases (EEID) NSF-20-585 - Deadline: 11/17/2021 - Up to $2.5 million

The intent is discovery of principles of infectious disease transmission and testing mathematical or computational models that elucidate infectious disease systems. Projects should be broad, interdisciplinary efforts that go beyond the scope of typical studies. They should focus on the determinants and interactions of transmission among any host species, including but not limited to humans, non-human animals, and/or plants. 

The purpose of this interagency program solicitation is to support the development of transformative high-risk, high-reward advances in computer and information science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, behavioral and/or cognitive research to address pressing questions in the biomedical and public health communities.
