Reminder: Final Week to Submit Nominations and Applications

The Division of Research and Economic Development is accepting nominations for the following awards through September 18, 2020:
Federal Opportunities
NSF: Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU): Sites and Supplements NSF 19-582

Deadline: August 25, 2021
Up to $600,000

Supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation. REU projects involve students in meaningful ways in ongoing research programs or in research projects specifically designed for the REU program.
NSF: Earth Sciences Postdoctoral Fellowships NSF 18-565


Deadline: September 8, 2021
$87,000 per year

Recent recipients of doctoral degrees to conduct an integrated program of independent research and professional development. The program supports researchers for a period of up to two years with fellowships that can be taken to the institution of their choice (including institutions abroad). The program is intended to recognize beginning investigators of significant potential, and provide them with research experience, mentorship, and training that will establish them in leadership positions in the Earth Sciences community.
NM-INBRE Pilot Project Awards
Call for Proposals: Collaborative Sequencing/Bioinformatics Pilot Award

The New Mexico IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (NM-INBRE) Sequencing and Bioinformatics Core (SBC) invites you to apply for a pilot project award valued at approximately $5k - $10k to drive your research, publications and grants!

Requires co-contribution from non NM-INBRE Investigators. Please help spread the word to your researchers!

Proposal deadline: 2nd Sunday of each month by 11:59pm

Metastatic Breast Cancer Patient Education: Navigating Treatment & Decision Making

Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on educating patients with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer and their caregivers.
NSCLC Oncogene Driver Considerations in Testing & Treatment

Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on increasing understanding within the oncology community of biomarker testing and treatment decision-making in advanced or metastatic NSCLC.
Identifying and Diagnosing Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (pJIA)
Application Due Date: 10/13/2020 - Link to Full RFP
Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) that may encounter and/or diagnose, refer, or treat pJIA. Educating the HCP community on pJIA will help to potentially reduce time in accurately identifying and diagnosing pediatric patients, which will improve patient outcomes.
