Advanced Chip Engineering Design and Fabrication (ACED Fab), NSF 22-636 - CFDA #'s 47.041 Engineering and 47.079 Office of International Science and Engineering. Up to $1,200,000. Research Concept Outline (RCO) Deadline: December 13, 2022 and Full Proposal Deadline: January 17, 2023

The ACED Fab supports innovative design and fabrication projects of semiconductor chips utilizing advanced technologies of Taiwan’s semiconductor foundries. Proposals are encouraged to target emerging applications (but not limited to): High-performance, low-power circuits and systems; Edge-AI sensing, computing, and communication; Quantum computing and communication chips; and Emerging semiconductor heterogeneous integration.

An ACED Fab proposal must be an integrated collaborative effort between the U.S. and Taiwan researchers. The research project must aim to bring a specific innovation to integrated circuit prototypes that demonstrate advanced functionality and utilize advanced fabrication technology as differentiators. The scope of an ACED Fab proposal must include at least one semiconductor chip design for tape-out utilizing fabrication process technologies of Taiwan’s semiconductor foundries via multi-project wafer runs within the duration of the project.

Pfizer
Request for Proposals RFP - Real World Evidence for CDK 4/6 inhibitors in Shared Clinical Decision Making - Applications due November 2, 2022 - Specific Area of Interest: The intent of this RFP is to support education and tools to enable clinicians to better analyze, evaluate the quality of, and interpret relevant findings from real world studies of CDK 4/6is in terms of the validity, design, and source, so that they can incorporate this knowledge into their daily practice and shared clinical decision-making discussions with their patients.
Request for Proposals RFP - PARP-inhibitor Combination Treatments in Prostate Cancer - Applications due November 10, 2022 - Specific Area of Interest: Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on:
  • Increasing the understanding of the mechanism of action, biological and clinical rationale for PARP-inhibitor combinations as potential treatments for prostate cancer. Projects focusing on PARP-inhibitor combinations with androgen receptor targeted therapies are of high interest.
  • The evolving paradigm of the potential treatment of mCRPC with future PARP inhibitor combinations.

Pfizer is particularly interested in programs held in conjunction with conferences such as the ASCO GU, AACR and AUA Annual Meetings.
Request for Proposals RFP - 2022/2023 Global COVID-19 ASPIRE - Letter of Intent (LOI) due November 17, 2022 - Specific Area of Interest: The following areas of research will be considered in-scope:
  • Societal impact of COVID-19
  • Key populations at high-risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes
  • Long term outcomes of COVID-19
  • Treatment of mild-to-moderate COVID-19 in vaccinated and or seropositive patients with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir
  • Impact of treatment for mild-to-moderate COVID-19 with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir on viral load, infectivity and/or transmission and/or viral rebound and/or symptom resolution
  • Regarding use of nirmatrelvir/ritonavir and showing outcomes: prescription behaviors (reason for non-prescription), patient refusal reasons, access and adherence to treatment
Request for Proposals RFP - Engaging the Patient Community in Research and Publications - Application due December 8, 2022 - Specific Area of Interest: Through this RFP, we intend to provide grants to strengthen the capabilities of the patient community by providing mentorship and training on how to conduct patient-partnered research with the goal to facilitate increased opportunities for collaboration between patients and academic-research communities.
